Does he use the Copilot? Because yeah... if everthing is fully automated it works for me as well. My main problem is the lack of any kind of meaningful UI. There is a hotkey option but the window simply does not appear. Well it did, a single time and that was is. No idea why it doesn't show up again.

Post that on their forum. They will usually get back to you the same day with a solution.

12.2.13 Hotkey Ctrl+Shift+T
New to PF3 version 3.10 this key is used to toggle the new In-Sim Hotkey
display window between Current Hotkeys/Global Hotkeys/Off

Took my grandson about 20 minutes to figure it out, I only use three hotkeys regularly, that are coupled to my Joystick, and the rest can be brought up instantly in the program. Can't get any simpler.

It looks very good I just watched a video on Youtube.   Typically, I'm in the NGXu most of the way set up to leave the departure gate before I ever enter a departure runway and appropriate SID.  For my approach I won't be entering that into the FMS until maybe 150m out from destination airport.  It seems sid/star must be input before initiating the flight, in PF3, is that correct?

In MSFD and P3D, I only use the default planning features.  I understand I can import that plan into PF3 directly.  So I if leave sid/star out of that plan, how many minutes will I need to add to my entire pre-flight setup, which now takes around 30-40 minutes, not using an addon ATC program.  So this would be a very simple use of PF3.  Bob, do you use your voice, or do the 3 hotkeys cover everything you need?

The way it works is you tell PF3 about where you would like to start your star, if you want to use a star. You can either use a Generic star name, and then select your actual star depending for the active runway at the time that PF3 gives you the active, or you can name  the star you want to use .

I always tell PF3 that I am going to use a star on approach, so at the last waypoint in my flight plan, it tells me the active runway, and then I decide if I want to fly a Star, or just a LOC-Rnav or visual approach to that runway. If you don't tell PF3 you are going to use a STAR then it just vectors you for landing, by giving you headings and altitudes.

I never use voice, I hate wearing a headset, period. You would need to add at the most 5 minutes to set  PF3 for a flight. I file my flight plans with Simbrief, I start PF3, and tell PF3 which FP I want to use. Then it gives me the option of SID/Star and where I want them to end and star. If I don't select a Sid Star, I just check ATIS, get clearance, get taxi from Ground, and Takeoff from Tower, and I'm off. PF3 vestors me onto my FP route. After takeoff, I am switched to departure, then Center if needed, then approach control, and finally to destination tower, and ground. Just like real world ATC,

It sounds pretty nice I will request a demo.  Thanks for the insights!

I think the MSFS voice sounds 10 time better than the patched together FSX/P3D voice.

I agree with you 100%.  But the weird thing is, are the MSFS voices strictly a sim thing or is this tied to Windows and/or MS AI or something else?  I cant believe that these voices and the smooth diction is wholly within MSFS.

No argument on the UI either, it's not great and having to alt-tab to it is clunky, it's all a trade-off I guess.   Not sure if you are using Navigraph there Noel because that is probably also a bit of a must here given that simbrief/mcdu/pilot2atc can all use the same airac because without that it's pretty much pointless.  Not sure if you can achieve that without NG.

Yes I am using Navigraph for keeping PMDG, LittleNavMap, and P3D in sync.  I did purchase FSAerodata and installed it w/ the first AIRAC cycle of 2021 yar but haven't updated it since.

well I 'assume' even tho 'that's' not good😁that after 10+ years on the market equaling the 'time' on market and 'time' to get a lots of P3D issues updates, upgrades all done to make everyone happy took sometime as well... the only problem was scenery man... terrible terrible graphics, the requirement to download your favorite airports to make them look right was an absolute.. so I'll take the baby steps... I quit those others just because of what I just stated. PMDG 737/800-900 was cool to learn. The FSX P3D worlds... nope...
