A word of advice for those wondering whether to buy... in my opinion, never buy an airplane on day 1... until you have read reviews and heard from the folks here

Well if we all followed your advice then there would be no reviews. posts and general thoughts and opinions to read because nobody would have purchased it. Just Flight would therefore be getting no feedback either with regards to bugs.😉

Is anyone else having issues with manually entered transpoonder codes being recognised by ATC ?

If I request flight following and use the Acknowlege Squawk option to autoset the traqnsponder code it works fine but if I dial it in manually it doesn't seem to get reconised (at which point the ATC seems to get stuck and the only way I've found to get out is request IFR then immediately cancel it)

I like it so far...

anyone notice a very jerky..almost a sort of stutter reaction to turbulence?  seems like an auto rudder running in the back ground.  not smooth and fluid like stock planes.

Yes this is exactly what I'm seeing as well. The aircraft jitters and shakes a lot.

Vc textures worse than default planes? 😐 Can you show us a screenshot to see how it looks on your side?

Ok found some weirdness.  Just loaded up, using a Honeycomb with the dual position switches on the panel and the "key" set up through Vjoy and Joystick Gremlin.  Start switch works fine.  Plane doesn't seem to respond to the on/off keybinds for lights, alternator, battery, avionics, etc.  I flicked the battery on and there was a noise and a brief flash of the Garmin 530, and that was it.  Had to use the panel switches to control it all.

The key bindings are not the same as for the default GA planes. Therefore you have to create a separate setup for the PA-28 with the respective keys. The Battery switch for example uses the "Toggle Master Battery" command.

BTW, while I found almost all key bindings, I'm not able to identify those for the fuel tank selector. Does anybody happen to know the correct commands?

$45 for GA aircraft seems a bit steep when compared with the general price of addons for MSFS (unless you have a discount). I would pay that for a complex airliner but I am unlikely to support old school flight sim prices in MSFS out of principle. I am sure too that they would sell far more copies at a lower price point.

I do not think Just Flight try to compete on price.  For example their shop price for the G91 is substantially dearer than what Sim Market charge for exactly the same addon.

Thanks, I'll have to check that out.  I did find that Strobe on/off worked after my flight.  And Nav on /off was spinning the panel lighting wheel all the way up/down.  Also, alt off turned off the avionics lol.

I find the plane difficult to trim, mine is very sensitive to trim and I have to keep tuning all the time, does anyone else have that problem, or have a solution for it? Otherwise it is a very fun airplane to fly, I assume the jitters and shakes are realistic? but correct me if i'm wrong.

Quite a few people disappointed with the quality of textures. So, has anyone tried it in VR, and, if so, how legible is the instrument panel? I only fly VR, and don’t want to purchase a plane whose dials I cannot read.

I love it, and definatly my favourite GA aircraft. It flies great and reminds of the only time i got to hands on in a real aircraft a decade ago (just one of those cheap initial training flights.)

My first impression.  VC textures are worse then default planes.  Very disappointed.  Looking out the windows looks like pixelated wax paper.  Flight model is very twitchy.  It’s like the rudder is making twitchy movement with no input.  Very disappointed overall with purchase.  I was expecting much more.  Just for comparison the A2A Cherokee for p3d is much better.  No contest.

At what resolution?  What's your video card?  Texture settings at Ultra?  Also it may be something we just have to get used to.  These devs don't have access to 20k dollar handheld 3d scanners and leading edge AAA graphics designers.  Ironically the a2a stuff always were slightly fuzzy on my GTX980 / 1080 Ti.  I think the Bonanza improved the look of the VC but my fps were a lot less.

I noticed it constantly turning as well.  I reflexively started using the rudder trim on my Honeycomb to try and fix it.  Although, while it had an effect, I also realized I don't know if rudder trim is actually modeled in the cockpit.  I didn't see it anywhere but it was a quick flight so.

edit:  I should have RTM lol, there actually is a rudder trim in the cockpit below the throttle apparently.

Just to note his GPU is a RTX 3080 according to the signature in the post.  Mind, he may be on a laptop or another PC entirely so best to have him state it but on the surface I'd say RTX 3080.  If he is on that rig he has plenty of everything.  Hopefully its settings settings settings causing that.

Perhaps some folks will have to get used to poorly textured interiors and / or exteriors in order to make use of specific developers products.  Such as this (if those textures a couple posts back aren't due to a bug) aircraft.  It would be a huge step backwards to accept lower quality visual representation of anything as a trade off for enhanced (or purportedly enhanced, seems the jury is still out on this as well) systems and / or physics implementations.

JF has historically released much better products so if this is the state of this bird I would be surprised and disappointed.  From the outside it is sounding to be be less a value than a *gulp* Carenado a/c for MSFS.  That is a horrible thing to say especially about a JF product but again if this is its intended state and not one-off instances for those reporting flight model issues and / or the 1990s textures at $45.00 it makes the Mooney look like a RS at its price point.  I'm also going to sit this out until the kinks are ironed out or someone realizes their texture quality on their RTX is set at BEST PERFORMANCE or whatever that awful interior is a result of.  But 'getting used' to less we may as well all go back to P3D.  That I refuse to do unless this product disappears and even then I'm not sure.
