I can be fine with them if the systems and handling are much better than default.  Basically with default aircraft we have super nice visuals and that's it.  Avioincs and flying properties are trash (my opinion as a pilot).  Mods do help a little and obviously the WT CJ is amazing...but that and the Airbus mod are the only two that bring up the default to anything decent.

Maybe it's just my aging eyes - watching blips on the radar - but the textures on this plane look really well done.  A few people here seem to describe them as really sub par.  But most say the textures are nice and I agree (although I don't yet have the product).

I got 13 hours on it already. I really like it so far. The systems and the sounds are really good and i find the plane immersive. Some textures could be better, for example the wings if you look at them from the VC. So far i have found 7 minor bugs and filled tickets for each one.

Climbing out of quito with heavy rain made me realize that i need the turbo version too 😆. I hope they improve the textures on that one, specially the wings as seen from the VC. The wings of the carenado seminole spoiled me.

Yes the Carenado looks better but does not handle as well, I think JF's version wins hands down if you look at the whole package.

I agree with your assessment. As a whole the JF version wins hands down. No comparison at all specially flight dynamics.

The only thing that bothers me a little is that the rudder feels strange with awkward movements, is that how it should work in reality? Beside that, the flight characteristics are absolutely superb, without a doubt the best aircraft available right now.

How do I get rid off the EFB. Not just turn it off.. just get rid of it and how to get it back if I need to change some settings? I skimmed through the manual and did not find it there. 

The modern EFB spoils the classic old Arrow. I also like the old  Garmin GPS. I am not going to put a modern Garmin in there.

 

What is the performance like? Is it better because its not using the G1000? And using analogue gauges.

Look a bit to the left of the EFB, you will see two switches above the GPS, the one to the right hides/shows the EFB

No issues whatsoever. I climbed out of quito yesterday during a thunderstorm. Most of my settings are set to ultra (Most, not all). I have a 4790K with an nvidia1080 8gb and i have no issues whatsoever so far.

The performance is comparable to the default C-172 Classic if you turn off the option screen, that one take a couple of fps.

FYI this is switch "I/COMM" that hides or brings EFB
