March 10, 20215 yr When I fly with metric altitudes, ATC won't update with further climb clearances when I reach the cleared altitude. E.g. today flying in China (and trying to be realistic, using metric altitudes) I was cleared to 3620m (or so) from takeoff. When I reached that altitude, I did not get any further clearance. This happened to me all three times I tried flying with metric altitudes so far. Switching back to hybrid, ATC immediately clears a new altitude, so it definitely is about the metric setting. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
