“lost in the triangle” mission save bug

When I try to save the mission at any point in “lost in the triangle” and reload it, it comes up as a free flight with no compass, voice direction, etc..  I tried saving other missions and it doesn’t have this problem.  I know it is being saved as a free flight alone since when I end the mission after loading the save file, the mission objectives pop up doesn’t display and the “End Free Flight” pop up shows instead.  Anything I can do?  I was saving after I found the ghost ship and the boat but I also tried saving before takeoff at the beginning of the mission and it’s the same issue.  Any ideas?

The fact that you are going into "free flight" mode after the save reminds me that if you have deleted any of the default aircraft from your simobjects folder, that could be a cause.  Normally, that would make even the start of a Mission a "free flight", losing the compass, voice direction, etc.

I don't think I have ever saved a Mission.  I would usually try to complete them come hell or high water!

Be prepared, after making a successful supply drop to the sailboat, to have a complete instrument failure to happen!  Your next step is to either land at the airport on the island or climb back to altitude and head back to Miami for a landing.

Awaiting the new Microsoft Flight Sim and the purchase of a new system.  Running a Chromebook for now!

I didn’t delete anything and the original mission starts fine.  Just the saves of the mission lose the mission’s characteristics when reloaded.  Seems to happen only for this mission.  Must be bugged.

Yep, could be a bug!  I never tried saving a Mission.  Good luck!  It's no fun flying around with no instruments.  I think it's an electrical failure.

Yeah I would have liked to have saved after sighting the boat.  It’s a pain to locate it.
