March 14, 20215 yr Hello, I am using FS 2020 1.14.5.0. My video card is an rtx 2060 super. I fly without Ctd, without stutters I do not get very low fps. Below is got while flying Really strange so many users having so many issues. But for me, 1.14.5.0 is THE BEST fs 2020 ever released. What I do is simple : I only use WIndows 10 for Flight Simulator. Otherwise (webbrowser, mail, video editing, and much more,) I use Linux. When I launch Windows, I first check for any windows 10 update, and reboot if requested. Then only I launch FS 2020.
March 14, 20215 yr Same here. I am really enjoying the Sim big time. It has never been more stable and smooth than it is now. Guess we're lucky. Only thing I have to complain about is the cut down LOD at the moment. March 14, 20215 yr I don't really know if it is "so many users" but understandably the users without problems don't complain. I have had stutterst since last update but somehow changing the virtual memory reduced that a lot. Performance is actually better than before the update (might be caused by the reduced tree lod). CTDs I never had.
March 14, 20215 yr I seem to be having a happy time flying in Australia - as if the SU3 FPS problems were associated with the World Updates. I'm keeping an eye on the Win10 Task Manager and I occasionally see a drop in the GPU which is associated with a spike in CPU usage and a drop in FPS. It only lasts a few seconds then it's right again. GTX 1080Ti, Ryzen 1800X, 32GB Mike Beckwith

Seems reasonable as Asobo hasn't had the chance to ruin Australia, Africa or South America. Alas, family day today so I won't be able to try this out for a bit. Maybe someone will beat me to it. -J 13700KF | RTX 4090 @ 1440 | 64GB DDR5 | 2 x 1TB SSDs | 1TB M.2 NVMe

I think we are more than you think in the "HAPPY FEW MANY" Group. Of course, there a few loud complainers. Buts thats OK - Most don't take things personal and the forum is well moderated. Hm, I had flights in NZ, AUS, GER, UK and the USA yesterday and today. No problem at all. I even had a stable 60fps in rural areas with the Spitfire in 1440p resolution which I never had before the last update. The reduced LOD might help with fps (as I said) and had no fps drops since Friday (knock on wood!).
March 14, 20215 yr I never ever had a CTD, either before or after update 3. What I have noticed after the update is, once in a while, a 1 to 2 sec pause. Honestly, I am happier with MSFS than with the tone of some conversations on this forum... Can't imagine what it would be like if politics were allowed!
