Just did this flight in heavy rain and OVC with the TBM 930 and had zero problems with it.

I found it a bit odd that the path drawn on the GArmin ND wasn't quite going through the WP (e.g. the line was offsett to the left of CVV and jumped in CVV when close to 0NM from the intersection).

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones (HW in my sig). Settings HIGH with some options changed to Ultra (like clouds e.g.).

The area just south of KSEA is brutal for me in terms of stutters and long pauses - with or without any add ons or photogrammetry which stinks as that is my favorite area to fly (10900 and RX 6800 16 GB 32 GB RAM).

While MSFS is like this, we need to know the areas where people are flying without the stutters / pauses, as I already have withdrawal symptoms. 

I don't think FPS is an issue at the moment.  In general I can get 40 FPS with high / ultra settings on my old 1080Ti, so showing the frame rate does not help, we just need to know where there are some nice stutter / pause free areas until Asobo fix it.

People who never used the tree lod mod might not notice. Why should they? Actually with anisotropic filtering to 16 I hardly notice this in most areas. Some people do only fps and tree counting and feel betrayed when they see less trees. Ckaiming that the tree lod problem ruins the game is just one of those hyperboles I am quite sick of.

Seems to me that you just don't like people to be happy with what they have right now.

This whole concept of "happy simmers" vs. "complainers" is nonsense. Of course it is a basic truth that mostly those who are not satisfied tend to make themselves heard. On the other hand, you might want to revisit the latest developer Q&A and hear Jorg (Head of MSFS) say "you are driving the ship", meaning the customers and and their complaints, as those with the most votes on their forums will likely yield a change for the better. Maybe a world of "happy simmers" would not have brought us to where we are now. That's not to say that constant ranting without any constructive approach would be preferrable  - the truth always lies somewhere in the middle anyway.

The Happy folks should try flying around 76T airport in Texas and see what happens.

...it is an absolute pleasure to fly around in, the scenery is gorgeous, the Planes are decent and I'm thoroughly enjoying my Air Time within.


...but when it doesn't work...urgh!

Seems to me that you just don't like people to be happy with what they have right now.

If you do not see distance radius of the trees difference between before the update and after... It is that you have a serious visual problem or you are only flying over the sea or a few spots of different colors parade under your plane are enough for you?. In the worst case you fly upside down with your eyes skyward? even if you have the right to fly as you want and it won't change my life much if you like it.You may want a photos catalog to see more clearly what i wanna talk about? I didn't swallow all this MSFS advertising to have in this specific case worse than the other middle age simulators that exist.

I'm flying in the US and UK without issues. That's why this performance issue is such a bugbear

Or land at KESN in Maryland and taxi to any of the hangars.  Or at KCTJ in Carrollton, Georgia.  Or KIGQ in Lansing, Illinois.

I'm happy too in MSFS.  As long as I fly fully VFR with clear skies and 29.92 altimeter setting and do not listen to ATIS/AWOS or make contact with ATC  - or mess with the avionics too much.  Utopia.  Then it is great!

I'll never really understand the meaning of posts like this. Are you implying that we are all a bunch of visionaries? Or Lockeed Martin agents in disguise? Or maybe Laminar Research agents? If the sim is working for you, that's great for you, then enjoy it and, yes, thanks for letting us know. I regularly fly in Perth, Western Australia, and I confirm that performance is pretty good downunder. Nothing to complain about, except the  overall quality of the scenery (pretty poor), a few underwater bridges, sunk ships everywhere and all the usual. But performance wise, it's good.

Now let's move to old Europe: take off from Florence and head north. No fancy sceneries, no addons, no custom aircraft, just the steam gauge 172. If you get 40 fps without stutters and flashing scenery, with "all ultra" and 4K resolution, I'll be very interested in how you achieved that. 

If it's broken, it's broken. Maybe not everywhere, I agree, but it's broken.

I have no stutters there. I suppose most people haven't. 

I take that back. I tried it a second time and it was impossible. 2 to 3 fps regardless of settings, online data, resolution etc.
