Please insert game disc?

Recommended Posts

Sim was working fine last wednesday after simupdate 3 and the hotfix. Then I went on a holiday and returned home today. Now when I start the sim I get "please insert game disc" and I have to quit. Sim, in other words, cant start. Anyone know of a fix?

EDIT: MS support has confirmed there is a DRM server outage that makes it impossible to start the simulator. You can check the status of the issue here: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status
You can also sign in there and have ms sms you when the service is restored.

Ok im running the sim as adm, my country was set to oman for some strange reason, but I set it back to  Norway. Still didnt help. I dont run antivirus on this machine, and windows defender is turned off. I am on a wired highspeed connection. None of the tips helped.

So something is strange with my ms store. I am missing the premium deluxe and digital ownership entry that used to be there. I have been away for like 5 days and none have used this pc in the meanwhile. It was working fine before I left.

Is this supposed to be empty (my library -> all owned)?

And when I search the store for Premium Deluxe I can see the drop down suggestion of MSFS2020 premium deluxe, and it has the tag "owned", but when I click it, I get this page:

Same issue here 😞

Microsoft/Asobo should really find a way to allow us to use the sim in case of server outages like this!

Why are they not for example authenticating your profile for the next 3 days every time you launch the sim with an internet connection??
