Absolutely yes but is this requirement for the VNAV or it can be done after the overhauled autopilot is released to the public with the custom LNAV and VNAV?

I think this is a good idea, provided that fallback to default nav data remains because it reduces barriers to entry. I have no plans to subscribe to nav data any time soon.
