PMDG Update: [20MAR21] A glimpse of the Road Ahead

Featured Replies

It was  predictable that there would be payware fire sales when 2020 was near, and then after the release last Summer,  and that eventually, developers would migrate over to the MS universe.

From the publishers point of view...  sales are very very strong. I can tell you some glasses were raised."

I love MSFS, but this bitterness in your posts are so childish. Take a chill pill peeps. Don't put your knickers in a twist. Who cares who likes what sim,  and i really don't give a flying .... about certain company, their jet and their glass raising. Happy that I didn't contribute to that. And while I wait for Boeing jets to appear in MSFS ecosystem, i will happily fly them in p3d.

What is childish, so you are now the grown up here and we are kids? Okay I am happy, I will stay as child, play with my MSFS game if it makes you happy ;).

It seems the MSFS SDK is a work in progress. As it improves, we should see better aircraft from 3PDs. I only have the PMDG DC-6 for XP and look forward to their advanced B737 for MSFS. I hope the SDK gets some love and muscle for the future from MSFS developers.

Screw the jets, just get me that DC-3. 🙂

Great News...!!!

Can't wait for PMDG to get some of there outstanding birds into this sim!

The DC-3 pic is taken MSFS right?

PMDG looked at its collapsing sales figures for P3D and decided: nah, we're ready for MSFS 2020.

In all fairness, in the past six months, MS has improved the SDK, so waiting was not necessarily a waste of time. I'd say that from a strategic standpoint, Aerosoft was a bit smarter to partner with MS from the very start.

As someone who was "out of the game" for a few years and is just now learning some of the backstory with no allegiance to any sim before fs2004 that comment certainly made me chuckle 😆

Interesting to see how the pmdg products perform,I think there will be a big performance hit that will require some settings to be livered for an acceptable free rate unless you have strong hardware

I wish they focus on getting the 777 for MSFS first. My fav PMDG  airliner. I flew this almost all the time in P3D world. Then the 737 or the 747 then the DC 9.

Such an optimist 🤣 I am more concerned about MS and their updates for the sim, than the 3PD developers and their software.

Don't flatter yourself with this nonsense. Most people here are too busy badgering Asobo about better secenry, CTD's and performance issues. But keep thinking that P3D, X-Plane users don't have MSFS in the back of their minds either that works both ways.
