Performance problems east of KLAX and south of KSEA

Featured Replies

I was hoping that the last patch fix the infamous stutters area east of KLAX and south of KSEA,( i know those areas became problematic since a couple months ago) but it’s still the same for me after the patch, stutters and short freeze! I was wondering, is anybody doesn’t have this problem and have smooth performance or this is a generalize issue?

P.S. i don’t have issue in others large urban areas, NY, Tokyo, Atlanta, Chicago....

KLAX_KSFO has 1 second stops occasionally but no stuttering which to me is ok.

Generally, the sim is much smoother for me in most areas, but the area east of KLAX is still a mess (that was the first thing I tried after the patch). If I fly in that direction (once downtown LA is over my left shoulder at about 8 o’clock) I still get hard stutters to the point that I have to end the flight. So yes, I see the same problem as you.
I am thankful for the other perf improvements, but it would be nice to see this fixed.

Have you installed the patch with the community folder removed?

If yes, and you put the community folder back in its correct location - do you have any3rd party add-ons in this area??

Did you manually refresh the Cache in the data section after the hotfix update?

In the interests of brevity for forum members - this kind of information might be of help

The stuttering starts at the same place as you, and it’s last until KONT!

No add-ons, i always do the updates by the book, i known that i am not alone to have this bug, i read i few times in forums that those places (East of KLAX and south of KSEA) where notorious to be hard stuttering areas!

I decided to try the patch out out of DD KDCA with real weather and traffic.  Generally good......solid 40's FPS until I turned final to runway 1 where the stutters choked me down to 5 fps before it all went back to the 40's.  Generally better than before but work to be done.

Sincerely,

Dennis D. Müllert

Overall the patch has been fantastic for me, but yes, Just as i get to Tacoma when approaching from the south it's  still a stutter fest.

KSEA_KSFO repeated several times no real issues yet but some microstuttering/pausing b4 landing obviously somethings still up for others.
