Hello,

I am on Prepar3d v5.1 and have a 1080Ti NVIDIA card. Since I updated to a new driver last week, I get CTD's every time I start the program. When I read your discussion that the driver could be the problem, I waited till a new driver would be available via Geforce Experience. To-day they offered a new driver: 642.31. Which I immediately installed, alas, in vain. The same problem, one change though, I don't get the bleu screen.

Could it be something else causing the problem? I didn't get 466.11 offered though, Is that strange or does the have to do with the type of graphics card?

I will have to wait till a new driver appears, as I am running out of, my very limited range, solutions to the problem. To be honest I am getting very desparate.

Regards

Hans

Have you tried a driver prior to 465.89?

Quote from Beau Hollis of LM: "We were able to isolate this problem to a specific function call in the D3D12 API that the latest driver doesn't seem to handle correctly. We modified a D3D12 SDK sample to produce the same crash seen in P3D v5 and we provided the sample code to Nvidia. It's likely this issue only impacts D3D12 renderers, which might explain why so few applications/games are experiencing this issue. We'll report back here when we have something new to share."
