Captain Sim Releases 737 Classic for P3D

Doesn't look too bad.  I love the old classics.  I miss the old Pilot in Command 737 from Just Flight/Wilco. My first high level plane.   Won't work anymore on Windows 10 with FSX/FSX-Steam installed.  So sad.

I agree,  I just tried to use my  PIC 737 the other day and it does not render at all. It still sounded good though.

Looks good , as CS stuff usually does, but I think the days of people paying 60 quid for a Captain Sim base pack add-on which will then nickel and dime you up to over twice that price for this and that engine variant, and this or that cargo door etc, are long gone. And especially for an older type aeroplane in a sim which many people are restricting purchasing things for given that there is a new sim which is gaining more traction. That's the reality of the situation, and they need to wake up and smell the coffee.

Their 767 only has 1 model and 1 engine variant and it's been out for a year now...going to pass on this one too.

Have you tried using model converter x to compile the mdl files to the most recent FSX SDK standard?

How did you get it to install on Windows 10?   I can't even do that.  I have the CD FSX version from JustFlight and it won't install.  Believe me I tried different ways, even taking the files from the CD, making a image file etc....nothing!  I gave up.  I would installed FSX again if I can install this wonderful addon.  I even purchased the missions addon for it as well but never finished them...

Yup, if we've learned anything from the Boeing 737 MAX and the de Havilland DH 106 Comet, it's that early access airliners are not always a great idea.

Add to that list the Lockheed L-188 Electra

I previously had FSX installed on an external hd, I just must have moved the folders over to P3Dv4. As I mentioned it does not render at all.

I recall enjoying the CS 737-200, not quite on par with the Milviz product but solid nonetheless.  I've generally preferred CS's analogue jetliners over the more modern stuff, though I'm not qualified to evaluate flight model realism.

Well, I couldn't resist, and I am rather impressed so far. Now, it's only a v.3 version, so this is still early development but I'm in cruise on a flight from LEBL to EDDM and it's been charming so far. Note, this does not have PBR period!

Sounds have problems or are not there yet. I'll report back, but I'm currently not regretting my purchase at all.

Update: rnav, vnav were extremely smooth during climb-out.

Cheers,

Pete

In 2021, regardless of sim this is personally unacceptable for me for a new release. I'll check back in the later stages.
