YBCS excess buidings burying aircraft!

P3Dv5.1xxxxx, W10, YBCS (default P3D version)

Aircraft at gate ~~~ note the excess buildings!

I only have ORBX scenery add-ons but no specific scenery for YBCS so this must be the 'default' P3D in-built scenery! So far as I can tell this is the only airfield with this issue...

How to fix?

The quick workaround is to hit shift-p before you start your flight. Let the system push the plane backwards out of the building.

A search on my system reveals nothing!!!

I have uninstalled P3D and run a completely new installation which I note is a couple of points above the Hotfix that I had been running. Version 5.1.1226829 is now installed - but - the same issue applies!!!

Pushback is certainly a workround but not what I am looking to achieve...

If you haven't installed another scenery for Cairns, then the most likely culprit is an airport file included in an AI package. 

If you use GSX, you can open the customization dialog on a parking spot and it will show you the highest priority airport file in use. 

There is also a utility called Simple Airport Scanner which has a tool to search for duplicate AFCADs, but AFAIK it hasn't been updated to work natively with P3Dv5 yet.  It can be used in v5 in conjunction with Lorby-SI's P3D Addon Manager by pointing the v4 path in SAS to v5, and using the "Export Library for external tool" feature in Addon Manager to temporarily put all the airports into the scenery.cfg where SAS can find them (SAS was not programmed to access the xml scenery definitions in P3Dv4/5).

I take it that you do not have Orbx Australia installed--it includes an improved airport file for Cairns.

Are you running Traffic Global? It adds about 1800 airport files to your sim and I'm sure they aren't compiled for V5 which will cause duplicate buildings and taxisigns.

 According to your scenery.cfg from the ORBX post you also have FTXAUv2 installed which will also have it's own YBCS. Check your ORBX Central Library insertion point and VERIFY that the FTX airports and regions is set to below your bottom most addon scenery (not the default, what you have installed).

Tried each of the suggestions above - no change to the excess buildings... 😞

Solved the issue by purchasing YBCS from ORBX - a great marketing strategy!

Anyway, it's only money and nothing is being spent on other 'stuff' during these Covid-days...
