Give me a break. I'm tired of Nvidia releasing vapor cards that nobody can get unless they have an inside angle or pay three times the retail that Nvidia is helping to scalp, Releasing word not allowed 3060s, stopping productions of the 2000 series cards and allowing elaborate bots to buy up all availability for overpriced resell and bitcoin mining.

Nvidia is almost the only game in town but I don't have to like it.

 

This is why we cannot get any 3000 series cards

Yeah, my opinion, too. Some people here think this is all fun and a good idea to make some so-called "jokes" about these serious issues. Pfff!

My 4090ti wouldn't get hot enough to cook my dinner on it. What a rubbish card! Nvidia! Never! again!

I have a doltish cousin who mines bitcoins. He's also a supposed environmentalist. Hey sport, how much coal you think we're burnin' to power all those bitcoin mining rigs?

Any currency relies on public confidence in order to have value. I just can't see widespread public confidence in bitcoin or any of the other "we just made this currency up out of wholecloth and it's really valuable, honest!" cryptos.

Given that banks get hacked routinely, and they're FDIC/etc insured, I certainly have misgivings about trusting my savings to an uninsured vaporcurrency, especially since crypto exchanges have already been hacked with millions of dollars worth of crypto being stolen with no recourse.

Pretty sure those are ASIC mining rigs which do not use a GPU at all.
