Wind Barbs on Intersections?

Recommended Posts

Hi: All of a sudden, I am getting wind barbs on all the intersections in a flight plan (I use LNM to generate plans). TBH, I am not sure if this started with the newest release or the one before, but I don't remember seeing these in earlier releases. Have I missed a setting some place to turn these off? Am on 2.6.11.

No big deal but just curious.

Regards!

Click at button "Wind forecast ...." or menu View/Wind levels:

-checkbox "At flight plan Waypoints" switches on/off wind barbs at intersections/waypoints;
-radio buttons:
a) NONE - switches off other wind barbs;
b) GROUND - as in subject;
c) at flight plan cruise altitude - shows all wind barbs at planned FL;
d) given altitude/level - shows all wind barbs at given alt.

It was done some times ago, maybe you'd got this switched off (I don't remember what was a default setting).

Piotr

Thanks --tried your instructions. But, the checkbox for "Flight Plan Waypoints" in View/Wind Levels is checked and grayed out and I can't modify it.  In the section immediately below that checkbox, I have selected "None". And in Weather/Wind Source, I have NOAA selected.

Have a great weekend!

Maybe you haven't got loaded flight plan?
This options works only when flight plan is loaded and altitude is known (it shows wind at waypoints at flight plan altitude/level).

Piotr
