Brilliant ! Now all you have to do is say you'll be modelling the Turbo Engines 🙂

No Turbo in this incarnation.  Maybe down the road, I don't make those decisions.

The Corsair (built by a great team) didn't just raise the bar for MSFS warbirds, it raised it for us too.  We on the 310 can't possibly fall below their standard, and plan to up it maybe a little bit.

Wish you could put out two 310 variants.  One with G series glass and one with a single GNS or single GTN backed up in the panel by vacuum gauges..

Current intent is for a classic 310 steam-powered cockpit supplemented by some slightly more modern avionics like a KAP140 AP, GNS530 and 430.  Basically the same cockpit layout as in the P3D version sans Wx radar.  We're not going to change that plan now as it would push back release even further.  The future?  Who knows.

That is the 310R that I know and love!  Hope in the interim the MSFS GNS gets considerably closer in functionality to the real GNS.

Textures are not logically complex but involve lots of time doing high-intensity art.  It's the flight model that will show up some things we wish we could do that don't work exactly right in the sim and we can't (at this time) find a workaround.  We'll do all we can in the FDE parameters to produce a high fidelity 310 that flies like a real one based on testing from real-world 310 pilots.   But this won't be perfect as I think everyone knows at this point, until some changes are made in the base sim.

Looking forward to see the results in a few months. Yes, texturing isn't difficult by itself, but planes are hard to texture and CAN be hard to model. The subtle curves and sometimes complex geometric precision of reflections, makes it hard to get up to Asobo standards for instance. I always found it strange how incredible some of the Asobo plane models looked, but how bland most of their buildings were. Anyone who can do planes like some of the default models, should be able to make buildings look incredible, as buildings are 100x easier than planes.

I should mention here, as I did in the similar thread on the MSFS forums, that the 310R will have an option to support the third-party GTN750 as well as an option for a classic layout with no glass navigation - in addition to the 530/430 layout familiar from the P3D/XP versions.

Progress is proceeding on all fronts every day.  The visuals, systems, and flight model are being upgraded and refined.  The goal, as always, is no compromise on quality.

All I can say about a release date is "sometime this summer."  We all hope sooner rather than later but it won't be rushed out before it's ready.

and since there are thousands of buildings at one view, it pays to keep them simpler..performance.

special landmarkbuildings do look better.

I was talking about the custom buildings used at airports (not the autogen), airport buildings aren't densely dispersed, and most don't look that good. Though it is still a huge improvement over the other sims.
