Tell me, is this an indie or Microsoft ?

I don't think the 3 packages have anything to do with the server error.

Remember World Update 3 when they made some backend server changes that broke 3rd party airports from the Thursday before the update until the Tuesday it released?  That seems like what is happening here.  Someone borked the server config, and it will probably stay borked until Tuesday.

I can't even use the sim anymore... every time I try and go in it gives this message and then it takes me offline or the never any press any key screen. Brutal.

Yes, I am still in the flight. The ground looks terrible and the weather has gone. The message has not come up again. After I land (assuming there will be an airport to land at), I will restart the sim and assess the damage. If my logbook is gone, so be it.

For me it turned off bing data and reset all my settings and put the sim in offline mode. It's worth running through all your settings before you fly.

Thanks for pointing me to it, looks like this was a side effect of the beta indeed. Also I think that the updated packages in the content manager for KDFW, KSWF and the Alaska bush trip were probably not meant to be pushed to live either, but I cannot talk more about that.

Actually I got those three and then immediately afterwards two updated liveries for the PTS2 .

Today the rotation wheel in the update check screen doesn't rotate anymore and the check is a little quicker. It seems that the first waiting screens (UK scenery) are flushed faster than usual. No pending update in the Content manager.

Nothing going wrong so far after two small sessions.

They should leverage the community for release testing, as they did during the Alpha's. Why stop that??

I'd rather not give them new ideas: we suggested a beta test before releasing an update and they managed to wreck havoc.

Clunkiest piece of software I've seen. On the bright side, my student will benefit from the time I am going to put into preparing my lesson of next Friday instead of flying.

Having been through nearly 24 hours of this problem, I have just made a few flights with no more annoying pop ups, disconnections or changed logs so it appears that the problem may have now been resolved.
