FSX Panel Views

I used to enjoy removing the old .bmp bitmap files in the PANELS folders of some aircraft in FS9 and versions before, to get a nice full view off the right wing, rear left/right, etc.I looked around in FSX, but cannot seem to locate a means to do this, as I don't like the "bad cartoon" looks of the interiors in FSX.Any help?

Actually Aces already removed those bitmaps for you, at least in the 2D cockpit, by no longer allowing bmp's to be displayed in any view other than forward. What you are probably seeing are the VC textures, which will be seen when you look anywhere but forward when using the 2D panel on aircraft that also have a VC. Aircraft built for FSX can now have a seperate "interior model" which is distinct from the MDL file that is the aircraft itself. You might try commenting out the line in the model.cfg file that defines this interior model. That may do what you seem to want. Here is the model.cfg fot the B737-800:[models]normal=B737_800interior=B737_800_interiorTry changing it to this:[models]normal=B737_800//interior=B737_800_interiorIf it works, fine. If not just remove the // to restore everything. Paul
