Hardware changes - what is critical to uninstall/deactivate?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

My PC has been giving me grief and I'm going to bite the bullet and reformat and reinstall windows and add a new SSD or M2 drive.  I don't want to mess with any licenses, so are there packages that absolutely require uninstall and deactivation besides prepar3d itself and PMDG products?  What about MSFS - I've uninstalled it, but I'm not sure what to do with "digital ownership"...

Any tips appreciated from anyone with experience here.

TIA,

CVG

I guess anything that requires activation, and anything you purchased via Flight1 and/or Orbx. This covers almost everything payware.

Actually, if Orbx libraries are not on the C drive, you can leave them be and when you have your new C drive up and running, log into Orbx Central and do a file verification on each of your sceneries/products. That avoids the download.
