It wasn't this way after the other world updates.

It most definately was.

100%.

I'm not sure why it wasn't on your machine, but I'm going with you misremembering. The actual world updates have always been seperate store downloads that had to be "bought".

We even had people ask in here why they didn't see any improvement and getting confused by the procedure.

That's not what I said.  What I said was; I never got black screens.  Dude, I'm fully aware of how the update process works.  If you'd like to see for yourself come on over to my discord and I can go live.

I think we have a mix up here, Jeff.

Go back to the intial post of me that you quoted and reacted to and see who I was quoting in there.

It was not you. So why do you think I was adressing an issue that you have? 🤔

LOL, it wouldn't be the internet without a mix up, especially here at Avsim 🤪  Sorry about that.

Exactly 2 hours to download the update on my 38mbs connection, and another 32 minutes for the updates.😴

Maybe I've missed it before, but this was the first time I've noticed the add-ons supposedly not installed in Content Manager. I know others have seen it before, just not me.

Just about to fly from Cannes to Nice for a before and after comparison, then the same between the other two hand-crafted locations.

Anyways, now after rebooting the PC the sim won't start (initially) at all.  Not gonna re-install.  It was a good 30+ year run.

Did that, still no joy.  Maybe I'll get lucky and the next sim update-I can install over this one and it will work again....lol

The beauty of simulators in general is the performance can vary based on how they are feeling on  any one day.

Cheers
