Isn't 1.28 GB rather small for a scenery upgrade?

That's barely the equivalent of one NZA airport scenery.

That's just the initial update.    I had another 20 gigs to download once in game

Photogrammetry isn't perfect, It never will be, it looks melted in Google too, that's jus the nature of how it works.

But at least it's there, the UK world update splash screen was missing it lol. They probably made the image before it was ready.

The in-game update is SLOOOOOOOW.

I'm on fiber and this is terrible.

I'm genuinely curious what exactly it is that you expect anybody to do about this? Your connection speed is completely without meaning when you take into account the number of "hops" you have to make to the download server. If one of those hops is congested then your download will be slower, that's how the internet works, that is how the internet has always worked.

Speed is very inconsistent. There are people who get 50-100 Mbits in-game updating. I only get 30.

Not in my experience.

Additionally ... lest we forget that they used a new process and data source for the UK update..

So no... its not just as melty

Been on the internet since 1993, thanks for the update Racky McRouterton.

The MS Store thinks Gears of War is more important than FS 2020, so started downloading that first on my system.

Luckily there is a pause button.

and yet you appear unwilling to accept its limitations.

Here's a clean version of the loading screen
