A new "present" from ASOBO: hitting Escape/Resume...

Recommended Posts

According to Asobo, "On rare occasions during a flight, the position of axes will reset to 50% after exiting the Pause Menu".

The problem is that the "rare" occasions means ALWAYS in my set-up. Upon hitting resume: flaps/throttle/spoilers/mixture/prop pitch revert to 50%, on the ground or in the air.

Their "workaround" is a pure insult to human intelligence: "Head to Options > Controls then click the Sensitivity button above the Search & Filters panel to display the device sensitivity options and adjust the position of your device’s axes".

In other words they have no clue.

This was reported after the 1.14 upgrade as well, but for me it is more consistent now.

Here too with my new  Milviz Corsair prop and throttle slide back to 50%, mixture is cut <sigh> when I go the menus for binding a key.

Never saw that before.

Same here, it will happen on nearly every flight where I ALT TAB to watch youtube or look at littlenav map since last WU, never happened before, what a joke, I truly hope they will release a hotfix soon.

Replying to Hangar's post

Nothing will get done in regards to management of this title unless the press turns on them and i don't see that happening. The press simply croon over the visuals and scenery updates and if there was even a hint of an issue its glossed over (Obsidian Ant) comes to mind. Generalized gaming press don't know what to look for so they wont notice.

I'm thinking you would need to have a cyberpunk sized screw up in order to get upper managements attention about how this project is being handled at the moment. So no, this will be a "very bumpy flight" for now.

You can avoid it getting cut by mapping your mixture control to Mixture axis -100 - 100.

I guess you have it mapped to 0-100 now.

By doing this the mixture is not completely cut when you return to the sim.

Can confirm. Not too much of a problem on my setting though at least for the throttle, since I use a Warthog and while it positions it to 50% I can simply move the throttle a bit and it syncs again on the CJ4. Not checked for mixture and flaps though.

Hotfix needed though.

At every update a mess, I have to say. The saboteur is still inside Asobo's team and they are simply unable to find who is the guy (or the lady).

Its just a small bug. Hardly critical. Don't use pause until the next release. Remember the vast majority of simmers don't visit forums and I bet most are not concerned with this. The avsim "sack the developers and escalate to management" group are a storm in a teacup I am afraid.

For more than 30 years that I have been flying on flightsimulator, I have to count on the fingers of my hand the use of the pause button!

Great, we are all delighted to learn that !

By the way, this is not about the pause button but the esc key to access the menu panels (including to bind keys and axis).
