Problems with Indiafoxtecho T-45 Goshawk

I just bought the Indiafoxtecho T-45 Goshawk and had two serious issues. First, whenever I get near any clouds, the entire canopy ices up. I have this same problem in the MB-339 as well. I have the windshield controls on full heat and full defog but they don't seem to do anything. The manual doesn't indicate anything about other de-icing controls.

The second issue was that after flying around for several minutes, the aircraft became increasing unstable, particularly in roll. Small aileron inputs would not do anything, but once the aircraft started to bank it would start rolling back and forth nearly uncontrollably. This seemed to get worse as time went on until I had to emergency land, barely. Anyone know what the issue here might be? Yes, my flight model is set to Modern, before you even ask. 😛

The icing will affect the aerodynamics.  If it is on your screen then it will effect airflow over the wings etc.  You can turn it off in settings, and here is a link to a nice widescreen de-ice workaround.

Follow the page to the letter, and it is about the best you are going to get.

By the way, I use the letter 'i' (for Ice) on the keyboard for the toggle of windshield icing effect, as I don't think it is used by anything else.

Thanks for the info. It makes sense that icing could be the cause of the aileron problems. I do have the de-ice function bound to a joystick button. Interestingly I can hear a click like a toggle switch being moved but I can't see where the switch is anywhere. Maybe it is in the rear seat? Also the manual does not mention anything about de-icing at all, except that the engine pulls bleed air for de-icing (always?). Anyway I had the same icing problem whether I had de-icing on or off, in as much as I could tell.

For the MB-339, there are canopy and cockpit deice and defog switches but they do not do anything and can't be interacted with.
