a lovely flight in the France update : North Brittany

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Start from Saint Malo (Dinard airfield LFRD) flying West following the jagged coastline  to Ouessant LFEC, the westernmost island of mainland France. Less than one hour with the Spitfire (220 mph). Some really nice watermasks.

Looking really good, thanks! So far, the area around Île-de-Bréhat seems to be the highlight of the trip.

I downloaded a nice bit of of freeware photo scenery of St Malo which was nice and there are a few other bits of scenery and airports for Northern France over at flightsim.to.  A nice coastline to fly.

Yes thanks Dominique - will check it out when I get home. Over Newfoundland at the moment ferrying this wretched Caravan down to Florida in the beastliest LIVE weather the sim deems fit to throw at me. Sometimes regret I fly persistent flights.

I'm still looking for an Easter egg in Brittany as the Merlin drones, "regis quondam regisque futuri...regis quondam regisque futuri"...

I have not flown around northern Brittany since WU4, so having read your post Dom, I flew from St Malo to Quimper last night and the watermasking has been redone very nicely.  Hundreds of little islands with trees on them is still quite annoying though (ASOBO should be able to filter out trees on islands smaller than 50 square meters 😀 ).
