MSFS 1.15.8.0 wrong climb to altitude with Live weather

Example test:

KSEA with MSFS ATIS reporting 30.12 
with altimeter set to 29.92 at runway altimeter reads 230’
with altimeter set to 30.12 at runway altimeter reads 420’
Note: The difference is 190 feet


Baron or Citation Longitude Baro set 30.12
Autopilot armed altitude 3000 feet 
e.g., set V/S to 800 feet per minute
Aircraft does not stop at 3000 feet continues to 3190 feet

190 feet too high.

If the altimeter reading is 30.12 according to ATIS, why would you set it to 29.92??

As I wrote, I set it to 30.12 for the departure.

 

As for earlier, 29.92, what should the altimeter read on a standard day?

What ever the barometer reads at the airport that is broadcast on Atis.

What is a standard day? And why do you think that ATIS always gives the altimeter setting?

Well, unless I've misunderstood your question, if the pressure just happens to be 29.92 that day then dependant of what aircraft you're in anything from a foot to several feet higher than the published Airport Elevation Datum (Apt Elev) found on the Chart.

Obviously, the airport elevation.

And you should know what ATIS is for and what every pre solo student pilot has to know when they hear ATIS, and what to look for when they set the altimeter in the Kolsman window to the Atis reading.

I knew the answer, I was asking Bobsk8 the question.

In my post :

Sad, you have no idea how an altimeter works or what ATIS  altimeter readings are for. . By the way I taught ground school for a couple of years to student pilots.

That is why I posted the topic. I was showing the problem.

Maybe you could do a quick KSEA test and post your results/
