(very light and powerful and you can have it free of charge)*** FSX.CFG Tweaks ***TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=400FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=0.33*** ***Have some World of AI packages intalled with AI traffic slider to 100% (WOAI AI aircrafts are less heavy in terms of FPS impact if compared to default FSX AI aircrafts). Usually I fly mid/large airline jets (A320, B737-747 in european international airports (Paris CDG, Frankfurth, Munich, Rome Fiumicino, Milan Malpensa, London Heathrow, etc.) I verified that the most FPS eaters in FSX are:- water effect slider- light bloom flag- autogen sliderAndreahttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg

Half the time, I'd still turn autogen totally OFF, even if I could run FSX with all sliders maxxed.I turned autogen to dense with the FSX version of MegaScenery Hawaii, and it totally ruined the illusion of the crisp photo looking ground below, with it's hideous cartoon looking buildings spread across the high resolution photographic textures. I immediatly went back to autogen - OFF!But I hear that autogen looks great in GeoRenders new FSX Yellowstone!L.Adamson

I can almost, with average frame rates between 12 and 40 depending on where I am located and the wx.The only slider I can't put full right is AI. That kills fps, although less so with WofAI.RhettAMD 3700+ (@2310 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2 GB Corsair XMS 2.5-3-3-8 (1T), WD 250 gig 7200 rpm SATA2, CoolerMaster Praetorian case

Not with my current 9800pro-128 meg... It's not thatthe frame rate drops so bad, it's cuz I get video overloadand everything slows to a crawl once it runs out. So I have to meter down the autogen to be able to cope.As long as the video doesn't run dry, it's fine. So I usually run AG at 1/2 way max.. I would wait as long as you can stand to upgrade. The longer you wait, the more power you will get for your money.MK

No, wait, I have to turn air sea and land traffic down to 50%. Other than that, yes. A system like mine, will do fine (and should be the real "minium requirements", IMO.I have a mid point Dell XPS (410)Intel Core Duo 2.13GHZ (1,067 FSB)2GB RAM (667MHZ)500GB SATA II HDNVIDIA 7900GTX Video (512MB)This runs FSX great, and my other apps too. (Beleive or not i did NOT just buy a new machine for FS I use it for other things too (LOL).
