Recommended Posts

https://secure.simmarket.com/fsimstudios-vancouver-international-airport-cyvr-p3dv4-p3dv5.phtml

It seems we are back in race with P3D. The last couple of weeks I noticed an increased number of updated/new sceneries!

This is good to see.

Just wanted to share here.

PLEASE LETS NOT DISCUS THE PRICETAG HERE...everyone has is own opinion about this....and we should respect every developers work!

Quoted from Simmarket (I added Bold here):

  • Most up to date and detailed representation of Vancouver International Airport ever created.
  • Outstanding modeling, 4K PBR Textures, and great attention to detail.
  • 178sqKm of seasonal aerial orthophotos, ranging from 0.3 to 0.5m/pix
  • Custom autogen based on real-life photos of the city.
  • Over 50 hand-crafted landmarks around Downtown Vancouver.
  • SODE-Controlled seasonal and weather-dependent features. SODE VDGS Compatible.
  • Static Commercial and GA Aircraft.
  • Three airports included: CYVR, CAM9, CYHC.
  • Animated SkyTrain (Canada Line)
  • Night lighting crafted by IniBuilds.

P3D v5 cost: $28 US

Same thing for MSFS: $17

Yeah, things are looking great for us P3D users lol...

Also, this has been out for months now. Maybe they just got around to putting it up on SimMarket?

You compare Apples with Peaches here.

Creating scenery for P3D is MORE demanding and costs MORE effort then for MSFS!

But again....please lets not discus the price......we have different wallets with different amounts of money...and different circumstances.....cheap or expensive is mostly a personal definition!

Its stated at release 20210422....so should be updated "again"...but I am not sure....its just what Simmarket stated and it´s "on top" of the list at the moment.

I know that. And that's the problem.

Are you getting emails from Simmarket when a product you bought is updated? I used to but for some reason that has stopped?

Yeah not sure what’s up. I have had this for a while now. I believe they reversed their previous stance of not selling on simmarket. They sell on Orbx and their own site. It’s a great scenery. Their Kelowna and Edmonton ones are great too. Looking forward to Calgary and Halifax.

How was this updated?

The description seems to be pretty much the same compared to this:

https://orbxdirect.com/product/fsimstudios-cyvr

Seems like the same product, sold through a different channel.

Bought it back in December when it was discounted, which made it an even better deal. Nice scenery at any rate.

I am having the same issue, glad it’s not only me. If not for these forums I’d have no idea what has been updated.

Cheers, Pete
