April 28, 20215 yr MS recently announced their new 103 Solo Ultralight. However, I pretty sure they pencilled it in for a release date of the 27th April. No sign of it in the Marketplace as of yet. Any news on the release? I’m really looking forward to extending my fleet, and this looks like a nice addition. 5950X, RTX3090, 32GB@3600, Samsung Evo NVME 1TB, Warthog HOTAS, MFG Crosswinds, Reverb G2.
April 28, 20215 yr The Powersolo is great. I have that, and it was a very reasonable price. The developer communicates well over at the official forums, and he is very responsive. For low and slow (and VR when I finally get around to it), I feel like I won't need anything else of that nature. I was a bit underwhelmed by the Asobo announcement of a new 'aircraft', and as payware I probably won't be buying it now I have the powersolo. I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's. Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.
April 28, 20215 yr Author I already have the VGP Powersolo. And yes, it is a fantastic aeroplane. And I know that the new one probably won’t bring much to the table, but I’m still intrigued. 5950X, RTX3090, 32GB@3600, Samsung Evo NVME 1TB, Warthog HOTAS, MFG Crosswinds, Reverb G2.

April 28, 20215 yr VGP Powersolo is excellent, I still need to check out the latest updates which adds the floats but the dev has indeed been very busy improving the plane and all at no additional cost, no brainer.
April 29, 20215 yr The 103 was yesterday in the marketplace and I bought that cheap MSFS ultralight (admittedly I cannot memorize its unsexy name) and made a test run. It's purely for VFR low and slow sightseeing and must be flown with seat of the pants feeling - no instruments. You'll need the V key quite often as the compass is missing too, and unless you fly in your neighbourhood, you'll get lost very fast. No trim either makes cruising a bit unpleasant, as it needs some constant up elevator. It's well modeled, quite agile and has enough power for short takeoffs, and lands on a dime. Thus, a mixed bag - take it as kind of an overpowered paraglider and you'll be happy.

Is that a by-product of recording, or your general MSFS experience?
