How is it in terms of realistic  fuel consumption 😄

Happy to answer any questions on our Bell 47 if anyone has any ?

Tony

I purchased the Bell 47 a couple hours ago but haven't received the download link.

Is it ready for prime time?

That was quick thank you. I hope you sell a million of them...

I don't have any rudder pedals - only a yoke and throttle quadrant. Is the Bell 47 flyable without rudder pedals?

Never mind, I just ordered rudder pedals 🙂

Absolutely love it. My DCS/XP heli flying skills do pay off. I use full realism. Hovering probably is the most challenging of all sims i tried

phew practiced an hour, it is getting better somewhat, but had to adjust in Realistic tail stability to 20 to be able to keep my joystick twisted as a rudder, without too much strain on my wrist an gripping the stick too hard as a result. Also I learnt that not only the inputs have to be very small, they also have to be short. Quick movement of the cyclic and then center again. Like a spaceship in space where constant small bursts of gas correct the path.

Your joystick should at least have a Z-axis (twist) for rudder control, without rudder control you can not fly a helicopter, at least not a realistic one. There are also throttle quadrants with kind of a rudder control big rocker switch, but I thought they were more on/off kind of pedals : left or right and nothing in between.

btw I had rudder pedals but sold them earlier because I also have Fanatec racing pedals bolted to the floor, so I cannot put rudder pedals there (not easily).

I would think flying with a twist on the Joystick while trying to carefully control the cyclic at the same time would be extremely difficult. Rudder pedals make it much easier.

That is indeed a bit difficult but I am used to it, but with this constant rudder / anti torque correction it is more difficult to hold on to it.

Maybe I construct a detachable construction over the racing pedals to mount rudder pedals on.

I found a way to disconnect flight controls (accidently!) I opened the VFR map to check if I was on a main highway and when I went to turn the VFR map off I hit the box with the check mark in it. Never even knew what that did. I guess it makes it stuck in screen but when you try to turn it off, the Bell controls go Haywire.

Tried to duplicate it and its easy to do. DON"t do it.

That is a really good snapshot. Looks absolutely real, until you realize there's no pilot.

In external view I have default pilots but their feet are on the glass rather than pedal 🙂

I've use Imgur

It's free, there are others that might be simpler to use.
