TBM930 throttle acting up in cruise/AP

While flying the TBM lately, the throttle jumps all over the place from high speed to low and back without input from pilot. It seems to me that I had that problem some time ago but I forgot what’s the solution for that fix was. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi. Yes I am having the same issue now and a while back. I think it was related to FSUIPC, but then saying that I don't use FSUIPC at the moment.

Odd as this happened to me too but in the FBW A320, it was only for a minute or two and on that one flight.  I was in a climb.

Same here .. It only moves visually and no effect on actual throttle setting. I just ignore it. TQ is Saitek.

I have seen this also, and in my case it was the MSFS bug that sets controllers to 50% after you use ESC to leave and reenter the sim.

The RPM lever was set to 50%, and caused this behavior.

Once I moved the lever a bit on my yoke/quadrant, it went back to the commanded 100% setting and the visual issues stopped.

Ok I have just cured mine. I noticed in the Control settings, I had a mapping for the Propeller, which is not used in the TBM, so I cleared that mapping and now the throttle works perfectly. I am just hoping these settings are different for each aircraft. As I do use the Propeller Axis in other planes

I had the same issue in TBM. It was caused by Saitek throttle quadrant. I used the same profile as for other single engine aircraft (which also have mixture and props mapped) and I guess the old TQ sometimes produced a signal even with the levers fully down which resulted in erratic movement of the throttle lever. I guess if I set some deadzones the problem would be also solved - or just make a new profile for the TBM without props and mixture mapped.

Also look at the ESC bug, which sets your lever to 50% without you doing anything..

Yeah, I know about that one. On rare occasions they said... it happens to me every time I press ESC. 🙃 But what's happening with throttle lever on TBM is different - it moves quickly from 100% to 0% repeatedly.

I see that too, but the (invisible) rpm lever is the cause (at least in my cockpit)..
