Just throwing this out there. There is a great short trip from Saltzburg (LOWS) to Innsbruck (LOWI) which takes you through the mountains and into and along a valley. Great for VFR flying, sitting at about 3000ft. 😎

Tahoe to Napa, or into SFO or OAK...if you want a bit longer, head south to Monterey...

  • Queenstown NZQN to Milford Sound NZMF... doesn't get a lot more picturesque
  • La Paz to Cochabamba Bolivia SLLP - SLCB
  • Tour the Andes mountains in a C208 to the west of El Calafate Argentina and the lake, from SAWC (there is a naughty mesh spike though somewhere in the mountains - but stunning)
  • Goroka in PNG to any dirt strip within 50 miles in C208. AYGA - storms and rainbows
  • Akureyri Iceland to Reykjavik Airport (not Keflavik) on a nice evening. BIIR-BIRK
  • Port Hardy in Canada BC VFR approach to Bella Coola (esp now the new Orbx version is due out) CYZT-CYBD. Fly FL160 e.g. in King Air, TBM, DA62 or similar
  • Aix le Bains to Meribel France. LFLB-LFKX - *need an A36, PA28, Robin DR to get in there - approach only to RWY 15. France update has provided an excellent upgraded airport. (Or Courchevel of course)
  • Loads more, but some of my favorites.

Currently I fly KLAS to KSFO (737NGX over ORBX TE). It is close to MSFS experience but with a study level  a/c.

Madagascar to La Reunion, ok most of the journey is over the ocean, but once you get to Reunion and see it rising out of the ocean, it’s pretty impressive! You need to catch it in the right weather conditions, not too cloudy!

Using Orbx Open LC Africa.
