Above beautiful Austria in an old Focke Wulf

Recommended Posts

The flight is from Innsbruck to Salzburg, passing through some picturesque German and Austrian scenery. The plane is a Focke Wulf 200 Condor that I saved from the FS9 scrapyard and gave a new lease on life in MSFS with the (slightly adapted) Flight Replicas DC 4 VC.

Very nice indeed, Bernd. That is a wonderful cockpit that works a treat here.

Nice trip. I like the way you manage to keep the old (FS9!!) planes flying in our new sim world.

Thank you, John. As we all know, there are so many rare and beautiful FS9 and FSX birds in most of our virtual hangars that we all had great pleasure to fly in our earlier sim days. Very few of them will ever see the light of MSFS. With a little bit of cheating, when it comes to the originality of the VC, many of them have a decent enough quality that it is worth an effort to bring them back. Of course we all know that they cannot be shared with the community, but at least we can enjoy looking at the pictures. And if we are lucky, maybe some of the original developers will start adapting their nice work for the new sim eventually.

Beautiful landscape and plane. That Condor looks so modern for its time.
