I see in real life that the height of a C172 is 8'11" or 2.72 m. In VR when I stand next to the plane my 5' 7" is taller than the aircraft. Do I have a wrong setting somewhere. Because surely I'm getting a false sense of height when landing.

There is something wrong with the CAD model scales. The worst is C152. C172 is not that bad. The sense of size/height is a personal thing. It depends far your pupils are of each others (typically 58 to 68 mm). In VR you should see everything in same, wrong scale if you pupils are not in MSFS standard, but that is not the case. Some models are definitely in smaller scale than the others.

Thanks Kassu. My pupils are 64 so hopefully within the average range. At least I know it's not a settings thing
