I remember when the program was going on to let people drive them.  Jay Leno got one of the last surviving ones, and here he shows us what the car is like.

Jay Leno even says in that video a lot of car guys in their 30s and 40s never heard of that car. This is true I am not 49 years old, I have even worked on 3 Chrysler/Mopar Engine Assembly lines in my early 30s, and I have never heard of this engine. Very ahead of its time and well designed, too bad it wasn't cost effective the technology was good.

The Studebaker turbine car way out in front shock and awe 1967 and 1968 and engine trouble took them out. Poor Andy Granatelli. USAC cut the intake spec allowance in half and that was the end of the turbine chances....

I do remember the Turbo Train (Turbine Train) when I was a kid, one of them ran from Toronto to Montreal, also a cool concept
