Good Piston Twins For P3D v5

Looks like the Justflight Duchess 76 is v4 and 5 compatible. It has some depth. Even fouling, vapor lock, battery failure and such.

You could also add the Flight 1 BN2 Islander if you would like a very good STOL piston twin. Although it is an FSX model it works just fine in P3DV5 with a few small mods for the sound gauge and GPS which is covered here in another thread. The model is a very good repesentative of the real aeroplane in its handling, performance, systems and sound. I confess a bias here I accumulated nearly 4000 hours real time in the Islander over the years and the Flight 1 Islander was like putting on an old comfortable shoe! Just as I remember it! It is a love hate relationship, they are an amazing twin with exceptional slow speed performance and lift capacity but you never go anywhere in a hurry in them! And the real one damaged your hearing (150db on takeoff)

Are any BN 2s flying in the States?

Edited by Gary1124

Yep there are currently 32 BN2's operating in the USA. All over though Idaho, Florida and Michigan seem to have more than one aircraft operating. I am not surprised there is only one in Alaska - they never had deicing fitted. More in Florida probably about 10 all up!

Not to hijack this thread - here is the link to the thread here at AVSIM on the BN2 - The Blackbox version is just not as good as the Flight! version looks pretty but!

It is a cool plane for sure.

What is your take on the extreme prototypes lear 25?

Gary1124 - cannot help you there I am sorry never tried any of the Lear's (Sat in a few for real, found the cockpit a real squeeze and a bit claustrophobic for my liking especially if your used to true 2 pilot airline aeroplane) my go to light jet is the Carenado Hawker XP 800/ HS 125 another great little aeroplane. I have been helping out with the testing for a new version of the DH125 -one that is about to be released for P3D but alas that is all I can say at the moment). I must confess to a preference all up for pistons big and small, especially the round engine variety.

I love the A2A stuff. I like pistons myself. 421 rules
