FSLabs Spotlights don't work if aircraft power is off?

Hello,

I was hoping that FSLabs spotlight would act like a sort of flashlight, and help me find the aircraft power buttons when starting up cold and dark at night. It seems though, that the spotlights don't work unless the aircraft is powered? Or am I missing something?
