June 3, 20215 yr I finally had time for a full flight today. A Skyhawk from Cleveland, Ohio's Burke Lakefront BKL to Put in Bay's North Bass Island 3X5. I flew mostly along the south shore of Lake Erie (a huge freshwater "Great Lake" in the USA if you're not from around here!) There is some nice freeware for both the BKL and 3X5 airports (and the surrounding Put in Bay area). I know there is ferry access to most of the islands in this area but to my excitement almost all of them have runways! There is also one island that is on the Canadian side of the lake. These islands would also be a short flight from the Detroit, MI area. Along the way I pass just north of Cleveland Int'l KCLE, towns of Lorain, Vermilion, Sandusky (Callahan Auto Parts anyone haha), Erie Ottawa Int'l KPCW. It's a very industrial area... many massive ships sail the Great Lakes...some from points across the Atlantic (when I lived in Duluth MN we called them Saltie's). Please enjoy... I hope someday soon I will have more time for flights and screenshots! June 3, 20215 yr Lovely series of this regional tour in the (Wheel Pants) Skyhawk, Ryan...!! I'm quite familiar with the Lake Erie area...(one-time) long-time...🙂...resident of Ohio... However, from the sky, and from MSFS, somehow, it always looks better, though...🙂...!
June 3, 20215 yr Very impressive shots, Ryan. It really makes MSFS shine! Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080
June 3, 20215 yr Beautiful. Looks like you found one of the KBKL airport addons. Is that the freeware one or is it the payware version KBKL? If you make a return flight you should seek out the Cedar Point amusement park addon available at TO. It's literally the roller coaster capital of the world. It is on a narrow penisula that juts out into Lake Erie at Sandusky.https://flightsim.to/file/4061/cedar-point-amusement-park-sandusky-ohio Frank Patton Corsair 5000D Airflow Case; MSI B650 Tomahawk MOB; Ryzen 7 7800 X3D CPU; ASUS RTX 4080 Super; NZXT 360mm liquid cooler; Corsair Vengeance 64GB DDR5 4800 MHz RAM; RMX850X Gold PSU;; ASUS VG289 4K 27" Display; Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo, Crosswind 3's w/dampener. June 3, 20215 yr Author Thanks everyone... There's so much to explore and so little time! The BKL verison I'm using is freeware. Maybe I'll check out the rollercoaster scenery.
