Thanks for poping in.

Off to do my homework now and bed at 8pm. Night night...

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

You guys have absolutely NO idea. I've got a 65" OLED, 55" QLED,  several computer monitors, laptops and a dedicated cinema room with a 4K projector. Yet you come in here and lecture me with no clue.

With due respect, when all the info we had was a 120" display, photographs of that display at an unknown distnace, this was a very predictable reaction.  And furthermore, you're presenting yourself as an IT wizard and yet you're driving that 4K display with an I7-6700 and an RTX 2080?  I don't think the folks in here are any more clueless than you are!  One thing that is certain it was clear there was NOTHING inherently wrong w/ the sim to explain your troubles.  Great you got it solved.

I upgraded the CPU to a Ryzen 3600 the RAM to DDR4 high end 3200, and most importantly the motherboard to an MSI Pro board. now where I used to get 10-15FPS I get 40-50.

I heard the Pro boards are the really fast ones.

Yep amazingly good. Pair it with the proper RAM and CPU they absolutely fly.

Simming since FS 98. MSFS rig - Ryzen 3600 4.2Ghz - 32GB RAM 3600Mhz - Motherboard MSI 570 A Pro - RTX 2080 Ti -all overclocked - 2xNVME storage. PSU Corsair HX850i platinum. Average 30Fps on 4K ultra.

Sorry no respect taken. Lots more info was provided you just choose not to see it. You were the first one posting your pristine screens for bragging rights instead of providing proper help and now you are being smart. Anyone with proper experience and know how would see that those textures looked just plain wrong irrespective of distance or display size. I only said I owned several IT companies I am not a wiz I am only the boss ; ) I used to be but no longer. .. I upgraded the video card first to see what gains I would get, also the 6700K should have still given a respectable performance, as I said, but again ignored the motherboard was FAULTY. Get it? Data transfer issues. ...and than there are the keyboard warriors who immediately have to comment on stuff they never experienced nor have any clue about (true high contrast 4K JVC projector for instance).

Typically for forums I solved my own issue and received a bunch of useless derogatory comments.

In contrast of that I thank all of you kindly really trying to help, please keep it up and happy simming!

BTW it may help some, the Pro motherboard and RAM made the biggest difference, the Ryzen 3600 CPU seems more than enough, the bottleneck is definitely the 2080 Super now. Cruising at around average 30-35fps 4K High End settings. Ultra about 20-25.

Are you for real?

You had not posted any screenshots....correction any photos till page 4, when Noel was trying to ascertain what you was seeing he posted his screenshots asked was it haze your saw? it took you till page 4 to show us what your saw then is was some rubish photos that made everything looked bluured not just the ground. Taking a screenshot is as basic as it comes even for someone with an IQ to own several IT companies should be able to do.

So get your facts right and you say he is trying to me smart! Read back your very own topic and ask yourself how and when did we see anything to go by? "bragging rights" what a joke.....

Nothing to do with bragging rights just put up something to contrast what you SAID you were seeing, since at that point you presented a grand total of ZERO imagery for anyone to have a clue what you considered blurry.  Get it?

I'm having the same issue lately.

What are your settings in MSFS? All on Ultra?

My simming system: AMD Ryzen 5800X3D, 32GB RAM, RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB, LG 38" 3840x1600

I noticed this very thing. I flew from Frankfurt to Copenhagen and was quite surprised to see the ground seriously look like FSX out of the box. FSX with the nVidia tweaks looked better than what I saw yesterday.

Hoping its just a glitch that will get sorted but it felt like I was just over a very very low rez ortho photo, it killed immersion enough that I ended the flight midway.

No, mostly on High. But that's not important. I have almost 300 hours in MSFS with the exact same settings and this started to happen lately.

I am also noticing this slow loading of terrain textures just like the old days with FSX and then P3D.  Fixed in later versions of P3D by enabling high resolution textures in the UI.  Now I am driving a 4K display using a 1080ti but this anomaly was not there until recently in MSFS 2020 and not an issue these days in P3D.  Is this just a glitch we can expect to get fixed or something we will have to live with?

Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened." Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."

This (small ring of trees)  was addressed in the last Development video. According to the developers Its incorrectly tied to the parallels so its really bad in the northern and southern regions and they promised to fix the problem by uncoupling the link.

If im incorrect someone may correct me with more accurate info. (Im going off memory)

Found it. one of the first topics/timestamps in the video
