GTN 750 will not work in A2A planes (resolved)

Recommended Posts

Hello.  I just updated all the Reality XP GPS trainers for P3D v5 and now none of them work in the only four planes I use them in.  The A2A 182, Cherokee, Comanche, and Bonanza.

When I run the Garmin Version Manager here's what's installed.

Launcher 3.0.1.0

GDU 620 7.37.45.0

GPS 175/GNC 3.10.20.0

GTN 6.70.29.0

GTN Xi 20.12.27.0

GTN Xi 20.1.190

TX 3.12.41.0

When I go to the Avionics tab in the Trainer, I select Single Engine Piston and GTN v6.70

I then run the A2A Configurators and for the following planes I select:

Bonanza - XP-750

182 - Flight1 750

Cherokee - Flight1 750

Comanche Flight1 750

Then, in the sim I go to the Add-on Manager and use the Setup Wizard and select Auto Detect and tell it to use the 750.

It then reloads the plane but with power on the GTN's screen is dark.  This is in all planes.

Thank you for any help if I'm doing something incorrectly.

Hi Bert. I wish I knew more about these upgrades.  I was only doing what it told me, that there was an upgrade available.  How can I now get an older version?

Anyone?  I’ve followed the manual but all I get is a dark screen.  I’m sorry to ask for help but I don’t know where else to turn.

OK, lets do some basic troubleshooting... In your documents folder there should be several log files that start with rxpGTN...  Can you open them with Notepad and post the contents here?

You can also try to download the 6.62 trainer here:

http://download.garmin.com/avtrainer/gtn/6.62.4.0/GTN.Setup.msi

Thanks Bert.  I Shift right clicked and it said there was an update.
I now have the Bonanza, Cherokee, and the 182 working but not the Comanche.
