P3D V5.2 is out now

Recommended Posts

Looks really promising. I cant update cause I am on a long haul to Hongkong right now :D

Is it enough to update the Client only to get all the updated stuff? I guess yes?

What is the best way to update when V5.1 HF2 is already installed?

Will addons like PMDG, FSL etc. already work?

Anyone else getting this message "Installation Needed - Local  - AS P3D Connector needs installation or Update. Press OK to launch AS P3D Connector Installer?" And then i press to install, it says it is successful and then the message keeps pooping up as if it didn't work. Not sure what the issue it, I've updated AS several times and never had this issue.

Edit: This has now been resolved.

Cheers, Pete

Our airport of KFLL for P3dv4-5 uses the bridges for AI traffic. We have released last week KFLL 1.2 for P3dv5 removing the 'slopedrunwayAI.dlll' file that will cause problems with P3dv5.2. Please visit our forum for more info:

I’ve been away from simming/Avsim for a month or so due to work.

Suddenly decided to check back in and see if 5.2 was out - and hurrah, there it is! Lucky I wasn’t an hour earlier of I would have missed it. :)

Great list of changes, can’t wait to give 5.2 a try in VR.

Nice looking screenshots Marcus.
Indeed less grid is showing.

Tomorrow I will upgrade.

Is EA capable of showing cumulonimbus clouds as I never saw them in V5.1 ?

Hi Gerard,

- Grid is almost completely gone especially when using Volumetricclouds Medium and higher

- EA can be used with legacy clouds now!

- No Hole in the cloud when viewing down from above

- Thunderstorm clouds has still some room for improvement (maybe HiFi can utilize this even more)

- Thunderstorm Lightning is done now

- Snow and Rain improved

- No odd shadowline in EA with OC conditions

- Bridges are bridges and finally we can cross them without crashing at taxi!!!!

- No more objects showing through clouds!

- Fog is reducing visibility even at night!

- Added Road lights (with room for further improvement but the first throw is quite good.

- @simbol and others FOUGHT HARD for less Red skies! And NASA is now entering Mars...so maybe we need this back later 😉

And the rest of the list!

Marcus
