Recommended Posts

Just uninstalled 5.1 Client, installed 5.2 client, deleted shaders folder and config. Sim starts but crashes to desktop starting bone stock default scenario.

IMPORTANT: If you have LatinVFR, their slopedai.dll will cause this. See their forum for update.

Not it. Disabled all LatinVFR. No outside addons running that I'm aware of. When starting scenario, loading bar window pops up for a few seconds, doesn't propagate, them ctd.

If you have KFLL, you will need to uninstall KFLL 1.1 and download/install KFLL 1.2.

When you say disabled, exactly what do you mean?

If you disable all your LatinVFR sceneries by de-selecting them in P3D Addon Manager or the P3D scenery library, there's still a separate scenery package that was also installed by the KFLL installer titled SlopedrwyAI that will be left active, and that's the one that needs disabled (or better still removed) in v5.2.  Just de-selecting your LVFR sceneries won't disable the incompatible dll.

Have you planes used which utilizes TRUEGLASS or REALLIGHT from Milviz (like QW787 or Aerosoft A330?

With the prior versions of P3D there where some issues. Maybe remove those two .dll in the root directory of the sim and try again. If it still doesn´t work you can put them back in the directory.

And just to make sure:

Where is the LatinVFR dll located at? Is it in it´s own NON  P3D ROOT directory? When it´s in the root directory I would even move it out of there to test.

Trueglass and Reallight are TFDi products, licensed for use in some Milviz add-ons as well as others.

The SlopedrwyAI dll is located in the C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons\SlopedrwyAI folder.  It is referenced in the add-ons.cfg file under the ...\AppData\Roaming\... folder

If you use the awesome Lorby-SI freeware P3D Addon Manager, you can disable the package by going to the "Packages" tab and double-clicking on it (the entry will turn pink when disabled).  Or you can uninstall KFLL v1.1 as recommended by the developer.  But fiddling with the add-ons.cfg or removing the folder isn't something I'd recommend unless you really know what you're doing, lest you seriously bork your scenery configuration.

Ok, Got it! It is in fact the slopedrwyAI. My problem was locating it. I found it and removed it and I have a good start...so far. Mine was located in C:\Users\Name\Documents\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons\SlopedrwyAI. Thanks All!

Why not just download KFLL v1.2 and uninstall v1.1 which will address the sloped runway issue?

Will do but a couple items down on my to fix list. Next issue; framerate, coords, gpu usage does not toggle on (shift=Z)? I feel like I spend much more time under the hood fixing this thing than actually flying my cartoon airplanes.

You need to update the Content too in order to see this, since they changed it to HTML.
