Clarity on upgrading from 5.1

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I would like some clarity on upgrading.

Some people say just reinstall the client file, but others say also the scenery. Can someone give me a really simple breakdown of the best upgrade process is  (what to uninstall, install etc).

Thanks

Thanks, I’ve read just to uninstall and reinstall Client but some people have said there are scenery updates and this also has to be updated...

This doesn't explain much. It only states you should update the Client first followed by Content and/or scenery. Or do a complete un- and reinstall.

You can do that later, if at all..

I do the scenery update because of the improvements in Alaska.

I just installed the client only and shift + z does nothing. I checked the keyboard settings and it is correct. Any idea why shift + z may not work if only updating client?

Did all 3Why not do all 3?  First, uninstall Client; install new Client.  Second, uninstall Content; install new Content. Third, uninstall Scenery; install new Scenery.  Simple!  Absolutely no problem.  It should be as smooth as clockwork!
