What is this weather thing in my taskbar and how to remove?

Recommended Posts

I just noticed this a few hours ago. I left my computer running all day and came back and saw this weird weather thing on my taskbar on the bottom right. How did it get there, and what exactly is this? I don't recall updating my Windows at all. And most importantly, how can I permanently get rid of it?

It is a new useless (to me) feature added in some of the latest windows updates. Turn it off by right clicking on your taskbar, see pic
