EA : rounded clouds horizon and weird haze

In V5.1 this was fixed and now it is back. This happens when several parameters in the VolumetricClouds.cfg are too extreme for P3D too handle and clouds have not been shown till far at the horizon.

What disappoints me is that an OC is still flat as a pancake. That has not changed. Where are the cumulus and Omnicumulus clouds ? After almost a year I still see “simple” clouds…

Also there can be haze at 3000 ft

I've seen this too. I've also seen that the haze is constantly drawn infront of the vehicle causing a visible line in front, kind of like the line in the distance where the shadows are drawn.

The white haze is a visibility layer, so this is more of an issue with weather injection. Active Sky seems to put extremely thin visibility layers, which look weird. I hope following Active Sky updates will make this better.

Either case, @mpo910, have you seen this before?

PC specs: i5-12400F, RTX 3070 Ti and 32 GB of RAM.

Simulators I'm using: X-Plane 12, Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) and FlightGear.

The VolumetricClouds.cfg is the same as in v5.1 HF1 (that was my version).

So the EA improvements were focused on dusk/dawn/night atmosphere, which looks definitely better.

Regarding the clouds, I now will try letting AS control the VolumetricClouds settings and see how the clouds horizon.

Modifying the VolumetricClouds.cfg file.

For v5.1 I found the AS VolumetricClouds control the best, but for v5.2 that feature does not work…
