Local VFR flight

Recommended Posts

Another quick flight.  This time I finally got to enjoy my latest purchase:  The Turbo Arrow.  Also featuring a splendid paint by the famous Ron Attwood.

I departed 21D, went NE towards the Stillwater Bridge, and then turned south to follow the St Croix River (where plenty of wealthy homeowners put their yachts in the marinas/slips), and then flew west and landed at Saint Paul, MN (our state Capitol) KSTP.

Oh, also featuring the TDS GTN Xi

I believe this bridge is now for pedestrians only

Round-a-bouts, or traffic circles as Google calls them, are more and more popular in the MN metro areas

Slightly right of center frame above the river is a nice little airport, KSGS, where my friend's real plane is based (and thankfully, the one I fly often)

I guess tower needed an extra tight downwind RY 32

Wind is blowing me a little right of centerline...I should correct

Not a bad crosswind landing

Very beautiful screenshots of a nice and fascinating place! 🙂   👍

To fly over such interesting landscapes and enjoy all the details is exactly why I like flightsimming so much

Couldn't have said it better 😉
And you have a great talent to capture this fascination of curiosity and joy of discovery in your screenshots 🧐
