EA Night Sky 5.2

Recommended Posts

Is it just me or is the sky at night in EA mode just black void? Don't see any stars at all?? And no, I have zero shader mods installed.

Edit: I see a couple very very faint ones. This can't be realistic? No milkway or anything either.

No issues with night sky stars, this is a default install (you'll need to view image full screen).

uc?export=view&id=1uLRYvDw2ulHM_jjW9-JYp

same image cropped so easier to see stars

uc?export=view&id=126--Kw_8FQFdY9gQdlKBm

Tested in 3840 x 2160 and 5120 x 1440.

Cheers, Rob.

This is what I am seeing as well. When you say "no issues " it's very clear to me you've never flown at night because this is nothing close to reality with regards to the night sky.

These two statements are diametrically opposed.

Yes I have, but your original statement was NOT about "close to reality".  You seem to have an axe to grind with me specifically, so I'll leave you to your own devices.

Cheers, Rob.

No axe here Rob. But your statement of "no issues" is maybe accurate for what LM has given but the issue is, it's not accurate at all to reality.  This perplexes me as you are a beta tester for LM. So I am discouraged that the feedback to them during beta is not being given to them on how bad the night sky is with EA on and how not real it does look.

For my system, I almost think it looks the opposite….too bright at default settings/shaders.  Almost like just a dusk scene with a slightly darker filter….ground/sky/clouds very visible in nearly every situation.

P3D is a base which can be improved on with addons

The addon I use is capable of showing the Milky Way and stars at their correct position . And I am able to in- or decrease their brightness…

+1

The clouds are WAY to bright at night. But other then the clouds, my sim looks just like Robs pics. Stars are very visible. Once viewed as full screen that is.

Actually I think the bright clouds were NOT in EA mode. I only played around with it for a little bit. I guess REX has an installer for version 5 so I might give that a try.
