June 17, 20214 yr I only had to download the update from the marketplace. Only stuff I had to download in the content manager was updates for older stuff.

Are you saying that instead it downloads it as many individual components? Yes, to make it clear, I'm talking about the World Update you have to "buy" from the marketplace, not the update you get when you first start the sim. The one from the marketplace will produce a long queue of downloads that also show up in the notification area of the main screen.
June 17, 20214 yr No go on the update for me. In fact, I can no longer launch the sim at all. Mandatory update closes MSFS and opens the store, but when I click to update the sim there it throws an error every time including after a full restart of my PC. Under details all I get is error code 0x80073CF9. Submitted error data to MS feedback, but not expecting any help from them. Anyone else have any suggestions? Also, I emptied my community folder before attempting the update in case anyone is wondering. The patch notes say they mostly updated scenery for this patch. There was one bug fix in the patch notes but aside from that one bug fix, I can't see any other major code changes. That doesn't mean it won't break for you though. But assuming your download is smooth (and your download isn't corrupted), you move everything out of the community folder, and the game loading is smooth, I doubt you will encounter any major problems in this patch because I don't think they changed the code much. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

June 17, 20214 yr I don't understand why they can't just get better satellite imagery for Bing maps. There's a handcrafted airport on Svalbard, looks pretty nice. But right next door to that you have this really horrible texture seam. And it's also obvious why it looks that way, because Bing maps shows the same seam between low and high-res satellite imagery.
