Ghost lights are from 2 packages that show lights.

I gave this product a second, or third time now, it removed the haze, yes. But couldn't try it to more than 1 min, it gives me DXGI device hung error every session I tried (without envshade, no error), even restared pc twice. Sorry but it's a no for me. If TOGA comes with a solution I may try it again because I dislike that haze very much, that's the only reason.

Can you post your EnvShade settings ? Tomorrow I will try them and see how my system reacts.

Does it fix the dark cockpits when you're using EA?

Slightly it seems.

Sure and thanks for trying to help.

For the admin: Evga GTX 1080 Ti Black, i9 9900K @ 5.2, 32 GB RAM (Corsair LED something), SAMSUNG 970 EVO Plus SSD 1TB - M.2 NVMe, ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero (Wi-Fi). Pretty old driver but gave me no dxgi hung error until I installed envshade (NVIDIA 456.71).

P3dv5.2 EA on Vol clouds to medium, all shadows on with the exception of vegetation cast, particles and No shadow flagged content. Scenery complexity (ectremely dense), Autogen and scenery draw distance (medium), Autogen veg and building both Dense.

Envshade Settings:

High Performance

All normal except: Scenery brightness (high), Aircraft shadows depth (High) and Horizon haze (very low)

AE Enabled ticked (green)

Assuming that this issue isn't repeatable by others, it might not be a bad idea to check that your BIOS and video driver are fairly current.  Drivers are written for the BIOS environment current at/near the time of the driver's release, and software is usually written for and tested with drivers that are current at/near the time of release.  New software on an old driver and an even older BIOS can cause problems--it certainly has for me in the past.

That doesn't mean one needs to always chase the latest, but the BIOS, drivers, and software should be from roughly the same epoch.  The forced Windows updates occasionally update the low-level WDDM drivers, so even if you get things all humming along nicely, Microsoft can certalnly come in and help you snatch defeat from the clutches of victory.  At Microsoft, misery is the mission.  /half-snark

Thanks very much, I will update GPU drivers and re test. BIOS, there's a new one (1901) but it's beta and only a minor fix/feature for Nvidia RTX 30, mine is latest non beta (1802). I hate to leave that old driver but can always go back. Regards

i think it does somehow. Because i have noticed that the afterglow after the sun went down was way too short in default EA in 5.2 (after 15 min the sky was just dark at the horizon. Now, after i updated my EncShade and EnvTex the horizont stayed glowing with fading twilight for more than an hour after the sun went down, which is much more realistic in Europe at Summertime. I´am using 24h full automatic sky set for EnvTex and ASCA.

Guys,

What settings will remove this haze? This is just west of DFW using Active Sky and EA.
