"CS 737-300 for P3D is out of beta" news?

Featured Replies

I found their news distro in my email today. Does it mean some significant improvement has been achiedved overall in their latest update? I'm watching this development for practical reasons, when/if their 733 becomes quite enjoyable I'll buy it. Please share your thoughts on the latest status of their B733.

Thanks.

( I didn't buy it so take this info with a grain of salt)

The CS 737CL was not really received that well, and i'd imagine it's not really that good even now. The 3D model was straight ripped off the 737-200 so there are a lot of weird geometry issues, and reading from their changelog it seems they haven't really addressed most of those issues. Systems wise, their FMC is the same as their 767/757 so if you own those, it'll be the same experience. Still no derated takeoff performance page, and no ACARS. I have no idea how the VNAV performs, as the 767/757 VNAV is one of the worst, so you may want to take that into consideration. Their changelog only shows bug fixes, not really anything huge except for the EIS update made in April.

Worth $60? I dunno, never bought it but if you compare it to another similar priced aircraft (TFDi 717, MJC Q400 PILOT Edition, etc.) I would say that it isn't really warranting of $60. Maybe $45 and under, but just judging by the visuals I think it's one of the least appealing visually.

Well, true with that....

FMC is quite well differentiated from 757,it's a very old version of U4.0, so no per-flight N1 limited page, and no ACARS... well it's questionable why they chose to model that rather than like U10.4 which Feelthere used to model...

VNAV is not perfect but much better than those you find on 75/67, I could only pray they made that change back to 75/67 line soon, but not like anything would be soon with their money maker 777.....

It took me surprice it's "out of beta", as the 1.00 have literally less fixing than from 0.300 to 0.302.....

Still, I would agree, it's not worth $60 unless you really want a 737 classic for x64 P3D, as there is no other replacements so far
